ABOUT MR. TAYLOR:
I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I was born and raised in Berwick, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Berwick Area Senior High School, home of the Berwick Bulldogs. You may know my home town because it's home to Wise Potato Chips and if you look at where some of your bows and ribbons are made, you'll see that they might come from Berwick, PA, home of one of the largest ribbon manufacturers in the world.
I also lived in Bloomsburg, PA and Danville, PA/
I worked many years for Bloomsburg Mills, Inc.. Sadly the company closed its doors after 120 years.
I graduated from Bloomsburg University with my BA in English and then, at the same university, earned my Master in Education.

I moved to New York in my early 20s. I would say that the Southern Tier is where I spent the majority of my time, in Binghamton and Johnson City, NY. I worked for New York Telephone.
I moved to Nevada in my late 20s early 30s. I lived in Reno, Sparks, and Las Vegas. While in Reno I worked for Eldorado Hotel Casino as a Security Officer on swing shift (third shift on the East coast). In Sparks I worked for Blue Ribbon Meat Company who supplied many of the meats that were served on the buffets inside the casinos of Northern Nevada.
I moved to Las Vegas and worked for The Mirage as a Front Desk Clerk.
The above picture is of Lake Tahoe, which was only 30 minutes from where I lived in Reno.

I moved to Florida and first lived in Fort Myers and not finding a teaching position, relocated to Sarasota. In Sarasota I worked at Brookside Middle School as a 7th grade Language Arts Teacher. I worked with kids of all learning abilities and earned my certificate to teach Gifted and Talented students.
**Note: After Florida I returned to Pennsylvania and taught for 2 cyber schools. Susquehanna National High School and Agora Cyber Charter School. These were 100% online. It was a new challenge for me. I missed the classroom.

I found a teaching position with Frederick County Public Schools and once again, relocated. I lived in Frederick and now have moved to Hagerstown (the first home I ever bought) and live there with my dog Mo.
I've taught for Monocacy Middle School for 5 years now. I've been teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. And to be very honest, I couldn't be happier. I enjoy where I'm at and love working with students face to face.
